Dmitriy & Rebeka’s Wedding

A couple of weeks ago, Jessica and I had the opportunity to photograph the wedding of Dmitriy and Rebeka, and it was truly a special day for many reasons.

Dmitriy is the son of my friends Daren and Yulia Hess. Daren and I actually went to High School together, and his sister is married to my brother. If you’re from Kingsburg, you know exactly what that means—connections run deep and it really is a small town, or at least it used to be. Because of those connections, being there to photograph Dmitriy and Rebeka’s wedding felt less like work and more like being part of a family celebration.

From the beginning of the day to the final moments of the evening, everything went off without a hitch. The joy, the laughter, and the love shared between family and friends made the entire day unforgettable. Dmitriy and Rebeka were surrounded by people who care deeply about them, and you could feel that support in every moment.

What stood out most, though, was seeing two amazing young people stand before their family and friends and commit their lives to one another with a shared heart for our Savior, Jesus Christ. There is something incredibly meaningful about witnessing a couple begin their marriage grounded in faith and love.

Jessica and I were honored to capture these memories for them and their families. Weddings like this remind us why we love what we do—preserving moments that families will look back on for generations.
